Francis Coppola's Master's Thesis
Roughly only the first half of it here. More in another post. Coppola appears to return to its imagery in Megalopolis. Least what I've seen so far in trailers and descriptions read in reviews. Both set in Manhattan. Maybe Megalopolis is You're an Old Guy Now. Someone truly familiar with Coppola's filmography might've seen what was coming. Haven't looked forward to a new movie like this in years. Maybe not since Eyes Wide Shut. Another picture set in NYC and shot elsewhere. Not this one though; You're a Big Boy Now, shot on location. Even filmed in May's Department Store with hidden cameras and real customers. Kind of a Mack Sennett/Richard Lester chase through the crowd after a Gutenberg Bible. More in future post. A maze.
