A few good life drawings of Andrew Pembroke aka Drew Bacchae from yesterday evening at Cafe Flore. Andrew hadn't modeled in this way for a while and the space was very different from the Rec Center but the session was as good as anticipated and more.
More of Andrew at Cafe Flore yesterday, a new life drawing session organized by the seemingly indefatigable Thomasina DeMaio. Andrew was in fine form (but I started off with too fine a pencil). Here are eight 3 minute poses on three sheets.
Two more sheets of 3 minute figure drawings. Suzy tended to strike the same fabulous pose again and again, even when she didn't, which I was able to work with. I'm not unhappy with the results. I kept thinking of Bill de Kooning.

back to life drawing on Saturday after three weeks absence. Here, three
drawings of Suzy, not fully nude but sometimes partially, and playing
with lingerie and costume; anyway it seemed a new experience for her.

Adán was the subject of my most popular post on tumblr and of course I
was forced to remove it after the regime change. Here are some older
pictures from his late teen years in Laguna Beach... and maybe a few
after. I hear he’s in Colorado now with a degree in Sports Medicine and
a certificate from the Culinary Academy. Considering that his life in
porn only lasted a few years and that he only worked for a couple of
small time fringe outfits (BiLatinMen & LatinBoyz) he managed to pay
for a fair amount of education.
Some paintings from more than 25 years ago as shown in a subway kiosk in Germany. It had been a Show in Hamburg in a kiosk at a subway station, called “sei dabei”…with Max Schuman, Peter Cramer, Jack Waters… The Life Model was Donald, who used to bang on my street door for a cup of coffee. He still wanders Divisadero. Most Cowboys don’t like fences… A la mayoría de los vaqueros no les gustan las cercas.
