Though not the central character, Elizabeth

Hartman deserves her top billing.

Coming off her Oscar Nomination

the year before for a Patch of Blue.

21 years later, she jumped to her death

from the window of her 5th floor apartment.

Her performance here is another reason Francis

Coppola's 2nd movie deserves to be remembered.

Zabriskie plays Visitor #1 near the opening of INLAND EMPIRE walking up the path to the front door of Nikki Grace's mansion. Looks like Hollywood but could be Beverly Hills. Definitely LA. Probably a visitor from Poland. Her hair seems styled after the white lion guarding Nikki's doorway.  The Visitor almost touches it as she passes it on her way up the stairs to open the door herself.

Worth noting: 

Zabriskie is Polish for

 Beyond the Birch Trees.
