To celebrate Al Green’s appearance at the Universal Amphitheater, Tito and Dee held a party in his honor at their home. In addition to the entire Jackson family, the guests included Mary Wilson, Sherrie Payne, Quincy Jones, Richard Roundtree, Gail Fisher, Jim Kelly, Don Cornelius, Lou Gossett, and David & Angela Bowie, among others. The party is said to have gone on into the early hours of the morning. As cake was being served, Al Green and Michael Jackson were seen on the dance floor teaching David Bowie how to do the Robot with the Soul Train Dancers joining in.
