I was planning to start going to life drawing sessions when I returned home but instead started drawing pictures of my work area from direct observation. They function as a kind of inventory: of the things I've made that hang around my table long after they were completed and of the the skills I've developed as a draftsman over the last fifty seven years. (I figure I probably first picked up a crayon around the age of two or three.)
