He was called Cherokee because of his native American ancestry. Cherokee started modeling around the age of sixteen. According to one report he grew up in the Florida Everglades, while another says he was from Des Moines Iowa. I don’t know if he’s still alive, but if he is, he’s eighty one years old.
Pat Milo is said to have been especially respected and well liked by his models for his hands off approach, by and large allowing them to assume their poses without interference or molestation.
