This is a scene from Dennis Potter’s & Piers Haggard’s Pennies from Heaven (1978). In it, Bob Hoskins as Arthur Parker changes for bed while his embarrassed wife, Gemma Craven as Joan Parker, tries not to look at him naked as he tells her of being questioned by police in the rape and murder of an adolescent girl. The story ends with his wrongful execution for this crime.
