the other side of the wind…





Any film one has anticipated for forty years is bound to disappoint. I’m disappointed it wasn’t longer. They’ve followed Welles’ use of rapid cutting and kept to the script, doing their best, which is considerable, but they’re not Welles and the segments he edited are still the best; but it’s great to see it all and how they fit in with the rest. Huston, Strasberg, Palmer, Foster, Sierra and Bogdanovich are all exceptional.
