directed by Frank Borzage.
Last night I finally watched Borzage's wartime support the troops movie. For me, anything by Borzage is worth watching at least once and this one I would gladly watch again. There are some great performances mixed in with the propaganda and melodrama, mostly of a musical nature. Here are the three that stand out:
Benny Goodman & Peggy Lee, Why don't you do right?;
Ethel Waters & Count Basie, Quick Sands;
and Gypsy Rose Lee, the Psychology of a Sripteaser.
