Costing many thousands of dollars, these realistic dolls are beyond my purchase, and there was a time when I toyed with the idea of constructing one. If dildos are fun to play with, why not dolls? So long as the living are not transformed into dolls. That’s an old fear that should trouble people now especially, as such techniques are available to make this gruesome notion actual, not merely metaphoric. This is a staple of ghost stories and Gothic Horror Tales. Of course there are all those tales of men falling in love with automatons as well!
