Asger Jorn continued painting even after founding the Situationist International with Guy Debord in 1956, though the Situationists called for the supercession of such work, and he continued to be a major supporter of the group after he quit in 1961, up until its dissolution in 1972. The pictures here were all painted between the years 1957 and 1968.
