Hitchcock's The Birds

Now seemed a particularly good moment to present these three images taken from the Restaurant/Gas Station scene in Hitch's The Birds. Seeing as it combines Apocalyptic imagery with references to Petroleum Consumption and its dire consequences, it's possible viewers might now "get" what Old Alf was getting at with this perplexing masterpiece.

Les Pétroleuses

Today was Tamar Schumann's fifty-first birthday and as she is just beginning her second half-century or has just completed its first year I thought it appropriate to look back at one of our more fruitful collaborations (at least in regards to my own personal project.) These are photos from the series concerning the women of the 1871 Paris Commune known as Les Pétroleuses.

More Old Drawings and a New One

Here are some old drawings I've been meaning to show here. Three of them are related to fantasies concerning the Tejano bi-sexual porn star Tino Lopez. I've heard he has a wife and kids now and has retired from porn (though he still turns tricks from time to time when he visits the big cities.)

These are a related pair of drawings, though some five years separates their making. The first shows a fantasy concerning Juan Carlos Lamouth. The second is yet another version of a picture on an old theme regarding Mike Lamas which I re-imagined a month ago.

Michael Dennison as a Titan

Some years ago when I was staying at Mike's place, he offered to pose for me. Actually, he said he didn't like my taking candid shots of him which he had no part in composing. Here he was consciously collaborating on the image produced. This was one of those times when Mike was carefully sculpting his own flesh for maximum appeal. He was also preparing to run the New York Marathon. Notice the very real bandage on his foot.

The painting above is one result of this collaboration. There are others. This one is called Lunch with Minotaurs.

Death to British Petroleum

The irresponsible assholes who run British Petroleum have today let it be known, that if they want, they intend to drill again in the spot where their great leak occurred of late.

Death to BP!
