These are just some trial images for the upcoming Max Fish show. They lack the necessary texts that will elucidate their meanings when stuck to the wall. For now, I will only point to the various uses we have made within our societies for the ritual presentation of flowers, especially in instances of death and other celebrations. Rites of Passage, such as Homecoming, Marriage, Memorial, and Graduation, seem to be particularly popular situations for the giving of such gifts.

A few years ago I found these pictures on an exhibitionist and dating site along with some provocative videos, which I downloaded but am no longer able to play. I made a collage from two of the photos. It's the last image displayed. I can only hope that the joining of head to body, in this instance, has not resulted in some subtly disturbing Frankenstein's Monster (though the body and head belong, in this case, to the same young man.) I also hope that some real physical rejoining of his actual body has not become necessary following a battlefield dismemberment. At the time he seemed very proud of his being in the military. I assumed he had joined to earn his citizenship, but there is a possibility that he just did it to attract the girls. There were other pictures, which I unfortunately failed to save before they disappeared, of this brilliant youth shining brightly in a dark dance club surrounded by countless female admirers. It seemed he had everything he wanted, at least for the moment.

There is something almost random in the order and choice of the images presented here; almost but not completely. The city of Kom is a lost city somewhere near the border of Campeche and Yucatan, which has never been excavated, even by looters. It appeared on a few maps twenty years ago and then disappeared. I've named this group of images for this city for reasons clear to me and obscure to most others. These are really just a bunch of old digital paintings I made for another site that were reported and removed for supposedly violating copyright law. They do not.

Since I haven't been posting much material lately (as I have been very ill and simultaneously very busy trying to do all the work I need done for our show next month) I decided to present some photos I've been sitting on for some time of a very healthy looking Peruvian gentleman of middle age, which were taken by his girlfriend, whose toe can be seen in one or two frames.
