One of Markopoulos’s most critically acclaimed films, the Illiac Passion is an ambitious work based on Prometheus Bound.
For his cast, Markopoulos made imaginative use of artist friends and
underground figures in the roles of mythical beings. The result is a
lively, resolutely contemporary reimagining of the classical realm with
striking imagery and a sound track that features the filmmaker’s reading
of Thoreau’s translation of the Aeschylus text and excerpts from
Bartók.
Tally Brown as Venus, Jack Smith as Orpheus & Andy Warhol as Poseidon in the Illiac Passion, a 16mm color film by Gregory Markopoulos made in modern New York and ancient Greece and completed in 1967.
It was Abel’s thirty first birthday yesterday. He’s a handsome chubby
guy with a genuinely radiant smile, and I believe that he lives in Mexico, though he sports a Taconic Rangers t-shirt in the first picture above, which might place him in New Jersey. His dick is short and very
thick and he looks fairly well muscled beneath the extra weight. He can
be found on Twitter as Ab@abelaldomax and is well worth looking for.
