Bentzi Zeff & Ward Abronski (geezermodel) posed for life drawing last Saturday, thanks to Thomasina DeMaio. It was Bentzi's 1st time ever modeling: though he shifted too often during the poses, he has a lovely presence & grace I hope I conveyed in drawing, and I hope to again.

Angela Newsham at Eureka Valley Rec

Last Saturday Angela Newsham modeled at Eureka Valley Rec, the first female model we've had to work from there. I'd like the opportunity to draw more women from life. The one in profile with her right wrist resting on her knee was especially fun to do, many thanks to Thomasina.

Life Drawings of David Moulton

David Moulton modeled for Life Drawing at Eureka Valley Rec Saturday before last. I got six good drawings out of it, which isn't a bad ratio considering I made seven. Thanks to Thomasina.

25 Beale Street SF

I stopped by this place at 25 Beale Street in SF where I painted some murals 22 years ago. I wanted to see how the paintings were standing up to the wear and tear of the commercial setting. There's been some minor damage and some unwise obstructions (and most of the work on the 2nd floor has been painted over) but much of it looked pretty good.
