I thought it might be interesting to a few of my few readers to have this glimpse into the studio life of an artist. In this instance we're looking over the shoulder of a very accomplished painter. One should note the various forms of inspiration in evidence within these photos, from the empty beer bottles to the Jenny Holzer inflammatory essay pinned to the wall. One might also take note of the artist's gentle skewering of the haute bourgeois pretensions of the New York Times Magazine photograph he is using as a source for his work.
