There were also a couple of shorter shows before the main performance, along with some tedious speeches by the sponsors of the evening. Peter, supported by Joshua Krugman, performed one of his fiddle lectures, which directly attacked some of the most cherished beliefs of the aforementioned sponsor. The current touring company band also performed many of the standard Bread and Puppet standards, focusing mostly on the Klezmer and New Orleans tunes in their repertoire.
