The Cheap Art Store Posters & Manifestos Circa 1990-92

Before we opened the Cheap Art Store in February 1990 we wheatpasted posters all over the neighborhoods of San Francisco where artists and their supporters were likely to reside. The regular production of such posters, for the store and our many other concerns, continued for the next couple of years and dwindled rapidly after that time. These are some examples of the ones I designed and printed for a few of our various campaigns. The card titled Pictures for Home, Work and Auto is a collaboration with David Thorne.  The text is his and the image is mine.  There is another version of this, same text with a different image, but I was unable to locate an example.  In any case, the one shown here was the second produced and given the larger print run.
