I figured for her sixty second birthday I’d post a bunch of pictures from one of her best shows (which I actually got to see when it opened at Metro Pictures back when they were still on Greene Street.) Since I have a strong affinity for the traditional fairy tales that evolved through retelling from one woman to the next over hundreds of years, I feel a kind of kinship to this artist and this aspect of her work in particular. I hope she has at least another thirty years of such work in her.
