El Cocinero de Pizza y El Albañil

This is a young man from Puebla who wanted to know if it was okay if he took this tubing that his Boss had thrown away. I said: Sure, why not?

I made two brief friendships while I was painting the murals in that pizza joint downtown in the Old PG&E Building on Beale Street. One was with the young pizza chef from Jalisco who was constantly advising the frantic Persian owner on setting up the ovens. The other was with a young man from la Ciudad de Puebla, Puebla who was hired for some minor area of construction. This second fellow didn't last too long on the job, but he managed to stay on in my imagination and future art work.
