A Recipe For Mock-Jesus
Inspired in part by the chapters in the Marquis de Sade's Juliette concerning the orgies staged in St. Peter's Basilica, seven years ago I embarked on a series of sacrilegious drawings. Some of these showed various Imitators of Christ, both real and imagined, sincere and mocking. I wanted and welcomed the full range of responses. I showed some of these works in a show at Max Fish, and sold a bunch of them. As you can see, I still have quite a few of them in my possession. There are others, related to these, which I'll show in the future; assuming there is such a thing as "the future."
