What we have here is a group of drawings related to the ancient and current cultures of the region now known as Mexico (named after the Mexica, who, better remembered as the Aztecs, culturally dominated that area at the time of the Spanish Conquest.) These works mix contemporary and Pre Columbian imagery, reflecting a place where the modern and the archaic thrive side by side.
